The printing speed of the intaglio printing machine is actually determined by these two factors?

The speed of an intaglio printing machine is related to its structure and components. When a soft packaging factory purchases an intaglio printing machine, it can consider two factors before making a decision on whether to purchase it.

The printing speed of an intaglio printing machine is primarily determined by the length of the transfer distance between the various colors of the printing machine. Because during printing, if the ink of the previous color has not dried, the ink of the subsequent color will dissolve the previous color's ink, causing a color bleeding phenomenon. Therefore, the longer the transfer distance between the various colors of the intaglio printing machine, the longer the natural drying time, and the higher the printing speed can be achieved. Conversely, it is difficult to increase the printing speed.

The printing speed is also determined by the quality of the drying box. A better drying box ensures that the ink dries thoroughly, not only preventing the previous color ink from bleeding but also reducing the residue of the solvent. The transfer distance between the various colors of the intaglio printing machine is longer, and the drying time is longer, allowing for a higher printing speed. On the contrary, it is difficult to increase the printing speed.

Secondly, the drying speed is determined by the quality of the drying box. A better drying box ensures that the ink dries thoroughly, not only preventing the previous color ink from bleeding but also reducing the residue of the solvent. The intaglio printing ink is dried by hot air blowing, not by hot baking. Firstly, the intaglio ink will prematurely form a film when heated, and the coverage of the color film will affect the evaporation of the solvent in the ink, resulting in a phenomenon of false drying of the ink. Secondly, the ink contains various solvents with different boiling points, so the evaporation speed of each solvent is different, that is, the low-boiling-point solvents evaporate faster, while the high-boiling-point solvents evaporate slower. When the temperature is higher, the low-boiling-point solvents evaporate faster, and the residue of the high-boiling-point solvents increases. Given these two reasons, the larger the heating capacity of the drying box of the printing machine, the more difficult it is for the printing ink to dry. If the printing ink is falsely dried or not dried at all, it can cause color bleeding or adhesion of the printed product, resulting in a slow printing speed, and a large amount of ink application is required, which can easily cause color bleeding or adhesion of the printed product. This is a chain reaction, making it difficult to increase the printing speed.

Therefore, the heating and blowing volume ratio of the drying box of the printing machine should be correct, which is the prerequisite for ink drying. Secondly, if the printing plate on the printing machine leaks air, the printing ink will dry on the printing plate roller, and the fine mesh of the printing pattern will not be printed, and the transitional color will not be printed completely. Finally, the heat of the drying box should be directly applied to the film, causing the film to stretch. The wind should be directly blown onto the film, causing it to shake. Stretching and shaking of the film will affect the accuracy of the printing plate alignment.

When selecting and purchasing a printing machine, it is important to note that for an intaglio printing machine with a good drying box, it should have the following features: the heat should not be directly applied to the film surface, the wind should not be directly blown onto the printed object, it should not leak air like on the printing plate, the blowing volume should be greater than the heating volume, the exhaust should be unobstructed, and it should have a secondary air circulation performance for better results.
