Please pay attention to the following aspects when handling the design files for printing production. They will help you save valuable time.
1. Make sure all necessary files are included in the document. Ensure that the image files are definitely part of the document. Sometimes, although the images can be displayed, they may be missing or have a low resolution. Therefore, confirm the necessary images and provide image files with sufficient precision in the document.
2. Don't forget to copy the necessary fonts. Make sure to provide the necessary fonts. Some fonts may be displayed but still need to be copied as the input fonts for outputting film. Only fonts that can be displayed and inputted will not waste your own time.
3. Don't forget to convert the colors of linked images from RGB to CMYK. Otherwise, the film output after printing will have color confusion.
4. When converting Pantone spot colors to CMYK colors, make sure it will achieve the same effect. When converting Pantone spot colors to CMYK, there will generally be some differences between the two. Some Pantone spot colors converted to CMYK can achieve the same effect according to output experience, but those Process Pantone Colors are definitely not achievable by CMYK. Then, you can only solve it by adding spot colors.
5. Scan the images twice; output once. This can improve the scanning quality of the images.
6. The simple question of whether the layout file has set the bleed of 3mm often causes some experienced computer experts to fail. Are the colors in the layout software set according to the color value? So, please do a final check.
7. The printing proof corresponding to the film is the most convenient reference for the printing factory. If there are various reasons for not doing the proofing, please make sure to provide at least one printed copy (preferably in color, or if there is none, a black-and-white one is also fine). We must use one of the above two to check the film.
