According to incomplete statistics from Corrface's WanTong platform, Xicheng Qinxianmei Packaging, Xiaogan Yaodu Packaging, Hubei Zhongtai Packaging, and Hubei Shengyuan Paper Products all issued a notice on paperboard price hikes yesterday, uniformly increasing the prices of their paperboard products by around 3%.
In addition, the Hebei and Tianjin bases of Jielong also issued a May Day shutdown notice yesterday.
The letter from the cardboard factory mentioned that this round of price increase was "due to the recent rise in raw paper prices, which has made the costs unbearable". Under the dual factors of "price increase" and "machine shutdown", the upward trend of paper prices is likely to continue further.
