In June 2026, The Producer Prices Of The Paper And Paper Products Industry Decreased By 0.1% Compared To The Previous Year

On July 9th, the National Bureau of Statistics released the information on industrial producer prices in June 2026. In June 2026, the national industrial producer prices rose by 4.1% year-on-year and decreased by 0.3% month-on-month. The prices of industrial producers' purchases rose by 6.4% year-on-year and decreased by 0.2% month-on-month. In the first half of the year, industrial producer prices increased by 1.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, and industrial producer purchase prices rose by 2.4%.
It is worth noting that in June 2026, the industrial producer prices for the paper and paper products industry decreased by 0.1% year-on-year and increased by 0.3% month-on-month; from January to June, they decreased by 1.6%. In June 2026, the industrial producer prices for the printing and record medium reproduction industry decreased by 2.8% year-on-year and decreased by 0.3% month-on-month; from January to June, they decreased by 3.2%.
I. Year-on-year Changes in Producer Prices for Industrial Products
In June, among the prices of industrial producers' products, the prices of production materials rose by 5.5% year-on-year, accounting for approximately 4.28 percentage points in the overall increase of industrial producers' product prices. Among them, the prices of the mining industry rose by 16.5%, those of the raw materials industry rose by 8.6%, and those of the processing industry rose by 3.0%. The prices of consumer goods decreased by 0.9%, which contributed to a decrease of about 0.20 percentage points in the overall industrial producers' product prices. Among them, the prices of food decreased by 2.1%, the prices of clothing and general daily necessities decreased by 1.0% each, and the prices of durable consumer goods increased by 0.1%.
In the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wire products rose by 21.6%, the prices of fuel and power products increased by 11.8%, the prices of chemical raw materials rose by 11.5%, the prices of textile raw materials went up by 3.3%, and the prices of black metal materials increased by 1.3%. The prices of building materials and non-metallic products dropped by 4.8%, and the prices of agricultural and sideline products decreased by 1.3%.
II. Monthly Changes in Producer Prices for Industrial Products
In June, among the prices of industrial producers' products, the prices of production materials decreased by 0.3% month-on-month, which accounted for approximately 0.25 percentage points of the overall decline in industrial producers' product prices. Among them, the prices of the mining industry decreased by 0.9%, the prices of the raw materials industry decreased by 1.2%, and the prices of the processing industry increased by 0.2%. The prices of consumer goods decreased by 0.3%, which accounted for approximately 0.06 percentage points of the overall decline in industrial producers' product prices. Among them, the prices of food decreased by 0.8%, the prices of clothing and durable consumer goods remained unchanged, and the prices of general daily necessities decreased by 0.1%.
In the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 1.3%, the prices of fuel and power decreased by 0.5%, the prices of building materials and non-metallic products decreased by 0.4%, and the prices of agricultural and sideline products decreased by 0.3%; the prices of textile raw materials increased by 0.7%, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 0.1%; the prices of black metal materials remained unchanged.
