Uber Eats has partnered with leading packaging manufacturer Detpak to design compact paper bags specifically for single or small meals, snacks and personal drinks. Through this, the Uber diet aims to improve convenience and reduce waste. These bags are made from recycled paper and demonstrate Detpak's commitment to sustainability. With this innovative solution, businesses can now save valuable storage space while also reducing delivery costs for smaller orders.
Luxury brand Hermes International has launched reusable paper envelopes
Luxury brand Hermes International has introduced an eye-catching new product in its fine stationery collection - stunning reusable paper envelopes. Quaker Oats switched to paper packaging in its range of porridge POTS
The Quaker oatmeal line is packaged in paper, a significant shift towards sustainability. The green packaging initiative aims to eliminate the use of raw plastic in porridge cans sold across the UK, reducing plastic waste by 200t a year. This latest effort is part of PepsiCo's ongoing commitment to putting health and sustainability first through its change program, Pepsi Positive.
Grocery retailer Aldi has removed plastic shopping bags from its stores
Aldi, the popular discount grocery retailer, has taken a major step toward sustainability by eliminating the plastic bag option at checkout at all of its stores across the United States. Instead, customers can now buy reusable cloth bags in stores or opt for the retailer's own bags if they forget about being reusable.
In addition to this environmental measure, Aldi has set a goal to use natural refrigerants in all of its U.S. stores by 2035, ensuring its products have healthier ingredients and optimal freshness. With more than 600 stores, Aldi is already implementing environmentally friendly refrigerants and is taking positive steps towards a greener future.
Cascades introduces sustainable alternative to difficult-to-recycle produce packaging

Smurf Kappa provides weather-proof boxes for transporting bees
Smurf Kapa created sustainable packaging to transport bees for Biobest, a company engaged in crop protection and pollination. Biobest has teamed up with Smurfs Kapa to design an insulated, weather-resistant box to replace the styrofoam boxes used to transport live bumblebees. Smurf Kappa offers sustainable packaging made from waterproof AquaStop paper, including six-comb fittings inside to protect and isolate insects.
ITC Sunfeat leads the cookie industry with 100% paper-based packaging
Indian snack giant ITC Sunfeat has launched a new Sunfeat Farmlite digestive biscuit family pack with 100% paper packaging, marking a pioneering initiative in the biscuit industry.
The packaging design is both convenient for consumers and visually appealing. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer of ITC Foods, stressed that this initiative is part of the brand's commitment to sustainable packaging and is fully aligned with ITC's broader "Sustainability 2.0" vision to create a circular economy for post-consumer packaging waste. The new packaging will be available on Flipkart and will later be expanded to other platforms and supermarkets.
