I'm sure everyone is quite familiar with the term "design". You can easily find designers in the society. In the field of packaging design, the requirements for designers are quite strict. First of all, designers need to have knowledge of printing. Why is it often emphasized that designers should have knowledge of printing? Because printing is the step to make the design idea tangible. Knowing printing can avoid unnecessary mistakes. This is definitely much better than discovering after the design is completed that the design is actually not printable. What is an unprintable design? The following is excerpted from Frank Romano, the dean of the Printing School at Rochester Institute of Technology, in his article "How to Design Something You Cannot Print". Please wait and see:
Just using the computer monitor to select colors;
Use a light background with white text.
Prefer to use font sizes of 8 point or smaller;
Using more than ten different fonts on the same page;
Forget to reserve the bleed position;
Forgot to link the image information to the published document;
Output in RGB image mode;
The format of the image is either WMF or GIF, rather than TIFF or EPS.
Directly use the pictures downloaded from the internet for printing output;
Believe that the color of the proof copy will be the same as what you see on your monitor, or as it appears in the sample printed by the inkjet printer.
